Giveaway! Watching Willow Watts by Talli Roland
14 Sep
Earlier today I posted my review of Talli Roland’s fab second novel Watching Willow Watts. Talli is kindly providing two ebook copies of her novel for me to give away. This giveaway is open worldwide and will close at midnight (UK) on Sunday 18th September.
Today marked the official launch of Watching Willow Watts as an ebook and to celebrate Talli Roland organised an If I Could Be Anyone, I’d Be…’ online launch party! So to enter this giveaway just leave a comment in the box at the end of this post that completes the sentence, saying who you would be if you could be anyone for a day. I’ll draw two winners using random.org following the closing date. Good luck everyone!
For Willow Watts, life has settled into a predictably dull routine: days behind the counter at her father’s antique shop and nights watching TV, as the pension-aged residents of Britain’s Ugliest Village bed down for yet another early night. But everything changes when a YouTube video of Willow’s epically embarrassing Marilyn Monroe impersonation gets millions of hits after a viewer spots Marilyn’s ghostly image in a frame.
Instantly, Willow’s town is overrun with fans flocking to see the ‘new Marilyn’. Egged on by the villagers — whose shops and businesses are cashing in — Willow embraces her new identity, dying her hair platinum and ramming herself full of cakes to achieve Marilyn’s legendary curves.
But when a former flame returns seeking the old Willow, Willow must decide: can she risk her stardom and her village’s newfound fortune on love, or is being Marilyn her ticket to happiness?
Ok, this isn’t a specific person, but if I could be anyone, it’d be a U2 groupie lol. I’d love to follow them around, take pictures, ask them questions, watch them in the studio, listen to the them play, and get enough info and quotes from them to either write a story, an article or get an idea for a book, since I’m a writer. They’ve meant so much to me for so long, and their music has gotten me through so much, so…that’s my answer.
I can’t wait to read Talli’s new book!
Book sounds fantastic ..
If I could be anyone I’d like to be …. Princess Grace of monaco
Angelina Jolie because she looked great in ‘Tomb Raider’ gear and got to kick butts….Sadly I am more ‘Fridge Raider’ than ‘Tomb Raider’ but hey – I can dream
If I could be anyone for a day it would definitely be Superwoman. I will be able to accomplish ALL of the things I need to do in that day. And at the end of the day she still looks fab!
I would want to be Jabba the Hutt! YAY!
I would be….an extra-rich version of ME!! I like me.
But having a vast amount of money would make life even better and easier, for my awesome husband who works his butt off to support us, and for my kids, who both have special needs and require lots of therapies and services! And for me, too, so I can indulge just a little! Haha!
I’m really looking forward to reading Willow Watts – I loved The Hating Game!
I would be a guy for a day. It would be interesting to learn what goes through their head.
If I could be anyone for a day I would be Jenna Ushkowitz. She’s got a great life. First she was in Broadway. Then, she was on Yankees on Deck along with my favorite baseball player of all time, David Cone. Now, she is on Glee my favorite show.
My sister. Our lives are so totally different. I’d like to (briefly) live her’s to see how she does it!
If I could be anyone, I’d be Kate Middleton because I’d love to see what it’s like to go from a regular girl to a Princess!
Hello!
ok … I suck at making decisions… so …
If I could be anyone… I’d be me… because I really do love my life.
xx
Sound’s like a great book!
I’d have to be Debbie Harry around the time that Parallel Lines was released which happens to be one of my favourite albums of all time. She really is the original Rock Chick! Such gorgeous cheek bones too.
Would love to read all about Willow Watts as we share a surname and as I’m just finishing reading The Hating Game!
I’d be myself when I was 16 – and cut out the mistakes this time…
